As spring begins to peek around the corner, we’re partnering with our favorite style bloggers to show us how they wear the season’s hottest trends. From fashion tips to makeup trends to home décor, we’re excited to see how these fashionistas gear up for a new year of style.
This week, we’re welcoming Tieka from Selective Potential to share her three favorite ways to style embroidered tops for spring.
When you picture a classic boho-inspired wardrobe, you immediately think of embroidered details, right? I’ve been working to nail down my personal aesthetic lately, and boho-inspired, folk styles are definitely what I love most (especially in a casual, girl-next-door kind of way). I was SO delighted to find items that fit this exact vibe at Meijer that I couldn’t wait to share my favorite ways to incorporate the embroidery trend this spring.
I’m obsessed with this darling black-and-white embroidered top, complete with loose sleeves and a peplum fit. This Massini top barely required any styling, because it’s a statement piece on its own! For this outfit, I paired the shirt with frayed denim jeans and some tawny, suede ankle boots. If you’re feeling a bit chilly, you could add an olive green cardigan, or if you’re in warmer temps, this top would be cute with a pair of denim shorts and cut-out sandals! As for your hair, loose waves go with any sort of boho-inspired look.
For my second look, I chose this blush, John Paul Richard top from Meijer. This is honestly my favorite piece of clothing right now — no joke. It’s embroidered, lined and the quality is AMAZING. With this flowy, light-colored style, I chose darker denim with neutral flats, an olive-y brimmed hat and long, dainty jewelry. I could easily see this top being remixed several ways this spring — perhaps next time with a pleated chiffon olive green skirt?
For look three, I found this spring-y, pink embroidered top. The Massini shirt is adorable on its own, but since it was a little bit colder (we’re so close to spring!), I paired it with a knit cardigan, dark denim, neutral ankle booties and a dusty blue crossbody bag. I’m excited to style the top several different ways this spring though… with a cute floral skirt, or some frayed white denim and casual tawny sandals.
I hope you enjoyed these different looks featuring tops from Meijer! Are you planning on incorporating embroidered items into your wardrobe this spring?
